What can an HIV/AIDS Programme achieve?

The objectives of the FastPulse HIV/AIDS Education & VCT Programme are to:

- Encourage HIV testing – know your status.
|
|
- Raise awareness on HIV/AIDS.
|
|
- Help HIV negative employees to remain negative by reinforcing positive behaviour or changing risky behaviour through education.
|
|
- Help employees living with HIV to live healthy, productive and functional lives.
|
|
- Gather support from all employees to fight against HIV/AIDS
|
|
- Help managers to address HIV/AIDS issues and peer education
|
|
- Avoid discriminatory action or stigmatization of those affected or infected with HIV/AIDS.
|
|
- Encourage positive living
|
|
- Protect the human rights and dignity of HIV infected affected employees.
|
|
- Assist in dealing with psychosocial issues such as bereavement and grief handling.
